Aquatic Projects for the New Year

I am going to start my 60 gallon this weekend so I can swap out the substrate and do a deep cleaning in my 75 gallon (this is the tank with cyanobacteria). After the substrate change is made I will look at splitting my angels across three tanks, two tanks with known pairs and the third just juveniles for now. Some of the juveniles I kept are becoming adults and no longer want to live with mom and dad. I like Angels but keeping them happy is always a challenge, as the young grow there are continual changes in the relationships between these fish. As well one of the LFS asked me if I have any more little ones, so I am thinking of raising another batch or two of fry.

A paludarium with vampire crabs is fun to have. I've got red apple crabs in a paludarium...
There are multiple vampire crab species available. Which one are you planning to keep?

Sis is setting up the Fluval Evo 13.5 gallon reef tank, out first reef tank. Just getting the components together.

I want to redo my 120 gallon SA tank by replacing the current substrate with some Red Flint coarse sand. Also need to do a serious trim on the lotus.

If there was some room I would love to add a 180, but space is maxed out right now in the basement fish room.

I went from 0 to 100 mph on my fish room...MTS is a real thing! :p My plans for 2023 is to keep it to the 4 tanks I am running...continue to modify and tweak my various aquascapes and watch these ecosystems evolve.

I got to 6 once, which was too much, I will go to 3 or 4. Its hard to stop when you actually have the tanks and extra gear.

Since they live in a habitat with 20% water and 80% land it wouldn't be that hard to make your water work for the crabs.
How would you filter the water in this example, or do you bother? Would a 20 long work? Might be able to rig a small low water filter using a submersible micropump.

I'm still looking into it but you can have up to 6 in a 10g.
You do need to filter the water but I'm unsure how would be best.

In our last house we had many tanks, MTS running rampant...
350 stock tub
125 g
120 g
Four 75 g, plus one on the main floor
Two 50 g low boy
40 g cube
22 g cube
Four 20L
Four 15g

Majority powered by a piston air filter and central air system. Problem was the well water and having to move to a smaller house. I loved having all the tanks and experience of caring for all the fish and variety but don't mind the reduction of tanks.
