I have found this website quite useful for those of you who needed to plan their aquascape before buying stuff.

Cool! I might try it for my next tank, as I am not very good at on the fly scaping.

Kind of a cool idea, but also kind of impractical. I believe in just using your gut and talent to scape.

I had a look but lost it after putting my tank dimensions it. Because it didn't have 'my' tank, I had to pick an inappropriate model...then it wouldn't let me add two sorts of substrate. A nice idea, but too basic and doesn't beat simply creating a life-size plan on a tabletop and placing hard landscaping on that.
