This fall I will be visiting my parents in Italy and my mother asked if I could setup an aquarium around 100L for her. I am quite familiar with the hobby here in the US in terms of equipment and availability, but I know little or nothing about how well this knowledge would translate overseas.
Practical example of what I mean is that she wants a planted tank, but most, if not all the substrates I am familiar with are manufactured here in the US and I am not sure they would be available there.
Are pretty much the same types of filtration, aquariums and lighting choices available there?
Any things I should avoid buying?
