Hi,

You'll find most aquatic shops sell both white
& black sand.

If you are in the UK, then Argos and B&Q, Homebase etc. sell playsand (for children's play pits) - cheap and perfect for the tank. Just rinse it very well.

you can get play sand at home depot or lowes for like $3 for 50lbs... juss remember to clean it

is the play sand you get there really light colored, or is it dark? im worried about losing the bright color of my fish with light colored substrate.
