-_- Wich fish can tolerate aquarium salt? wich fish cant? and what does aquarium salt do for the aquarium? thanks guy

any fish with scales can tolerate it at 1 tbsp per 5 gallons, brackish fish even more. now here comes the debate. scaleless fish. they are very sensitive to it but my self and other like playfulalliecat and les gerber use a half dose 1tsp per 5 gallons and have had no problems at all. Snails can not handle salt at all. as far as what salt does, reduces stress, adds electrolytes, improves gill function, aids in disease treatment (speeds the process up) or in the case of brackish fish a salt bath can be used that kills parasites and really aids bacterial infections.

IME,if you use a teaspoon per 5g(not tblsp)you should be ok,i use a teaspoon per 10g and have never had a problem, even my plants are doing well and my black ghost never complained ;)
as for a list of fish that don't tolerate salt-i don't have one but just remember ANY scaleless fish proly won't tolerate "alot"of salt.
1 tblsp of salt per 5g is alot IMO  scary!! i've never used that much B)

Neons/Cardinals, White cloud minnows, Harlequins and a few bottom feeders are not salt tolerant. There are other fish too, you will need to do some research before dosing your tank with salt. Salt is basically an antiseptic and as such needs to be used with care.
