Hi I have just bought some salt for my bettas but had a thought...I have african dwarf frogs and ottos in with my bettas will the salt harm them as they dont have scales?? Sorry if its a stupid question!

I dont think your supposed to use it w/them.

What is them?? both the dwarfs and the ottos?? I have the ottos in a seperate tank with a betta, and the ottos in another seperate tank with another betta

Right okay thank alot Phantom Thief... I was just checking I thought they wouldnt because they are dwarf plecos.....So anyone know about the frogs??

I have never heard of saltwater or brackish frogs, as far as I know there are no species of marine frogs so I'm assuming that means they won't tolerate salt in the water.

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone

Well I know that one (very cruel) way of killy cane toads is to pour heaps of salt on them, so I'd assume frogs are similarly intolerant of it. I think (generally), if it doesn't have scales, you shouldn't use salt with it.

HTH :)
