I would like to build my own castle from plaster of paris and paint it up. Then I would like to know of a varnish/acrylic sealer that I could use to coat the peice yet have it safe for use in freash water. I am sure there are tonnes of suggestions I just haven't been able to find any.

I would be looking for a supply from Canada or the US.

The ornament once assembled and painted would be completely sealed so no water can effect the piece.

This is the sample structure, obviously I would make it more suited to fish with lots of arches and openings, but still be a cool castle. These are made from small blocks you make from molds that you purchase from hirstarts.

there is a company called general finishes that makes a "salad bowl finish". it's meant to use on things that food touches or kids play with so it's non toxic to humans when it cures. i don't know if it's toxic to fish though. but it's worth a look.
