If anyone knows what types of glues, sealants, paints etc etc are fish safe so I will be able to do more diy projects for my fish tanks. Please give me a detailed list of all the fish-safe products that can be used that you know of, please include ones I can get at a hardware store, there are not many petstores here. Thanks a lot for your help!

Used Silicon 2 on 4 of my tanks as well as the central sump of my saltwater tanks and it worked great. Believe me if it was poisonous I would tell you. Silicon 2 is easier to work with and less stinky than Silicon 1 and much cheaper than All-Glass Silicon. Just dont get the bathroom and tile formula as that does contain mildew inhibitors.

I have been searching online and so far i have read GE silicone II is what some of the aquariast used and had no problems.
then i read this

I've been using it for years(GE Silicone 1). Never a problem, just make sure you're in a well ventilated area when you use it.

and i also found this

I got my silicone from two places. Big Al’s Online store sells the big caulking tubes of aquarium safe silicone for a couple dollar each. Or you can go to your local hardware store and get GE brand clear silicone (avoid any with mildew resistant labels – toxic for fish). (Note: apply silicone in well ventilated area – Very strong vinegar odor.)

Get the silicone that isnt mildew resistant. that has poisons in it. So no tub and tile junk , just 100 percent silicone. Ge 1 and 2 say 100% silicone on the label. I will give it a shot... 100 percent silicone dried is harmless and a lot cheaper.

Please note Bolding is my words /Italics is quoting from the link.

Thanks so much for all your help, I'll go pick up as much of that stuff as I can find today and go for the rest tomorrow. Can't wait to get some things done I've been waiting forever to do because I didn't know what glue was safe. Felt a little restricted on diy projects. :)

Oh, and guys I'm not a newbie, I've kept fish since I was three years old when I got my first goldfish tank instead of a dog. Those fish were with me until I was six, then some of them got curved spines and died from it. Think it was old age to this day.

This is so cool, I had asked for the fredmeyer to carry aquarium glue a couple months ago and today when i went to the part where they have the silicone there it was. Wasn't expensive either....3.50 for a big tube of it.....
