Aquarium safe decorative terra cotta planter?

Is it likely that this flower pot is aquarium safe? I know standard ones are, but I wasn’t sure about this one with the white design on it. It doesn’t have dirt in it, the plant that came in it was in a little plastic pot so only a small amount of dirt even touched the edges. I’m hoping to put this in my 40 gallon axolotl tank

If that white stuff is paint, I would say no. Just plain terra cotta is completely safe, but the paint is a concern.
Do you think I could somehow coat it, to make it safe? Resin or something? I am looking at it and it doesn't look like paint, it looks more like a glaze or something...

I love the pot and am willing to do some diy stuff to make it safe, if there's an option!
