Aquarium Courier

I'm going to be buying one of LisaLQ's big tanks and am looking into how I'd get it from her house to mine.

Does anyone know of a aquarium courier service of some sort? I've spoken to a more normal courier and they said they'd do it for £75, but with the tank not being insured, it'd be a risk. I'm confused. I know nothing about this courier stuff.

Anyone have any experience in this area? What's the best, easiest and cheapest way to get a large tank from A to B?

i would guess just general courier and getting your own insurance i guess ?

whereabouts is the tank and where are you ?

the tank's in Keighley, West Yorkshire and I'm in Congleton, Cheshire. Bascially going from north of manchester to south of manchester.. about 60-70 miles each way, I think.

I'm going to ring a normal courier tomorrow to see what they say. Just wanting to see if there's other ways..

Where would you go about looking for insurance for something like this? With the courier themselves?

Any reputable courier should have what's known as goods in transit insurance to cover damages anyway, you shouldn't have o pay anything on top of the quote they give you.
