I'v been lookng at co2 set ups for my aquarium when i get it and most people have said the fire extinguisher method is the best, unfortunatly i have never had a co2 set up before so dont really know what to do, apart from the extinguisher, could someone tell what exactly i would need for the whole set up and where to get it from? cheers :')

I never used an extinguisher but I have a pressurized system in my home. It consists of the pressure tank, which is what the extinguisher would substitute for, a regulator and a solenoid. With the pressure tank filled you simply add the solenoid and pressure regulator. In my case they were a single combined unit. When you energize the solenoid, as you would do with a timer, the pressure regulator delivers a specific pressure to the bubbler you are using for the gas. You adjust the flow using something that looks a lot like an air system valve. It determines the bubble rate. What you use as a diffuser is up to you. Things as simple as an air stone work fine but you can do a bit better using a porous glass diffuser. The tubing that you use will get brittle rather fast if you simply use air line tubing. Special, and expensive, tubing is made that stands up to CO2 better than air line tubing. It is not perfect but it does outlast typical air line tubing when used with CO2.
