well, i'd like to make my own aquarium, as it seems cheaper that way. but i need to know one thing, where can you buy aquarium cement. thank you. and i'd also like some tips on making aquariums.

If your talking about the silicone used to bond and seel the glass together then you can get it at almost any lfs.

Silicon Sealant should be available at all good LFS (and maybe some bad ones too)
plus all DIY stores and maybe some drug stores too.

keep in mind, if it doesnt say aquarium safe, it probably isn't...also keep in mind that if you purchase the silicone from the lfs, you will end up spending more building the tank than it would cost prefabbed

Yes you can and it's "CHEAP" as you say.
"BUT" Is it TEMPERED?
The Tempered Glass used in at LEAST the Brand of PEFECTO Aquariums, the only Ones I personally Like.
Is much LESS Likely to Break if bumped by accident while Moving Rocks and the Like Around.

There is Only One thing Wrong with Making your own Tank.
Although I've known some Who've done it. Without Problems.
You must make 100% Sure all Seams are Tight, and Siliconed throughly...

I've thought about this Several Times myself, But decided I'd much Rather get one that I was Sure would be done Right, Then to Risk Me fouling up myself, and at the Very Least end up with a Leaking Tank, and at the Worst Have It Bust, after i get it Setup and Killing the Fish I LOVE So Much, by dying before I could get them all Up... :alien:
