Aquapod 24

I have an 70 w halide aquapod 24 with a remora c skimmer on back. I was wondering if there were any suggestions about the orientation in the filter. I have read to remove all the media and sponges and just add some live rock to the back left chamber. Is this right? Do I need an lighting over this area?

Thats correct and no you dont need lighting back there.

Thanks but which chamber? I have the maxijet 900 in the right chamber (my remora aqua c hangs on the back of this chamber) and my return pump in the left chamber. SHould I just add some to both chambers?
Is that all?
