Ok so I went and bought a big bottle of aqua plus tap water conditioner and on the back it says to remove chlorine take 1 cap ful per 10 g's, to remove chloramine 1 capful for 5 g, and to protect scales and fins 2 capfuls per 10 g. So if I want it to do everything I have to add liek 4 capful for a 10 g??? Or just the 1 for everything? These are definetely weird instructions. Ok this might sound stupid but can I use this stuff to clean my chlorinated water for breeding too? I have to someone clean it, but will this harm the fry?? Thanks for any input.

I use it in all my tanks...and since I only fill my 10gal breeding tank half full I use a capful still...most my tanks are 5gal so I use a capfull....if its under that I use a half a cap....I really like the stuff....and it doesnt seem to stress my fish out actually...

for my breeding tanks...I treat the tap water then let the water sit for a day or so...then I use it...just my way of using it I guess haha

so if for my breeding tank, while I let the water run in through an airtube(is that ok for the fry), can I just dump of it in or should I let it sit? I just don't have much room to let 20 g's of water sit lol. And what about when they are juvies and adults? I am just now starting to use tapwater, and am not sure if it's okay for the fish to be in chlorinated water for however long it takes for the stuff to dechlorinate it? know what I mean?

from what I understand is that if your tank is cycled then its okay to use tap as long as its treated...but dont quote me on that one....when I started out and only have 4 or 5 fish I just used gallons of drinking water fromt he store at like 90 cents a piece now I have a lot of fish and its cheaper to use the treatments now...what I do...when I set a tank up I put the water in...treat it...then let the tank cycle a couple days before I put the fish in...(Make sure to check your stats on everything during this time...like ammonia and things) Then...when I do water changes...I use old milk or water gallon (the plastic ones...thats been washed out I assure you) and thats how I treat the water and let it sit....I only change the water one gallon at a time...and its easy to siphon the water from the gallon to the tank without disturbing the fish a whole lot... haha thats just me though

So if I have a 10 g, then I just put like 2 capfuls in and that should treat for everything?
