Aquaclear filter media

I would like to add some filter floss in my Aquaclear 200. Right now I only have two sponges in it. Should I put the two sponges at the bottom, then the filter floss on top of them? Also, doe's it matter how much floss I put in and how often I change it?

generally the floss is at the point where the water enters the filter

I've been using the floss on the top of both sponges and the water is crystal clear. I like this stuff!
