Is aquabid trustworthy and has anyone bought fish from another country off of it? How were the fish when they arrived?

i bought fish for first time from usa.. i live in canada..

they sent them on monday.. supposed to be here in 3 days.. its now friday and still no fish..

so i donno ...

thursday was canada day so i guess they dont do ne thing that day.. and i donno if they will on the weekend either..

so its gonna end up taking a week to ship..

id read their feedback before u buy from them.. make sure nothing negative happened

I believe aquabid is much like ebay.The site is not responsible for the individuals who use it,although repeated abuse would not be tolerated.The best course is to read the auction terms carefully before bidding and check the feedback rating of any seller you plan to buy from.I see a lot of sellers with long term business and 100% positive (or close) feedback.I am watching for fish that have reasonable and easily understood shipping terms.I even see some that offer free shipping.Haven't bid yet but I will eventually.

my bf is in the process of getting 2 crowntail betta's from someone on there. the person that we are working with is real friendly....doesn't talk alot, but isn't rude or anything. we accidently sent the money to indonesia, where the originator is....found out we had to ship it to missouri. she took that fine, and even though we are very late for paying, she is not complaining or anything. great service!

the company this person is with's name on there is *inbs*. you see them very often in the betta area. the person herself's name is joty atmadjajah(sp?), and her account name is *jotya*. also seen in the betta area, but not as often.

I have many bettas from aquabid and they have all arrived in great condition. I've only had one mishap where the fish was accidently sent to Hawaii, but that was the post office's fault and the fish was still fine.
