I have just aquired an aqua-pro 1 external filter. Does anyone know how i can get a users manual for this, or failing that 1, How do you prime it, 2, What's the best media for it, and in which basket does each go in, 3, On the top of the filter it has in and out stamped on it, Does the in mean, in to the tank or in to the filter ?, Thanks in advance for any advice, Regards, Alan

For a start, the in is the inlet and the out is the outlet, both go into your tank. Inlet is the pipe that carrys water to the filter and outlet carrys water back to the tank.

Right so, inlet one side of the tank outlet the other side. leave the cannister empty and put the inlet into the tank, then get a bucket and suck on the outlet until water starts to syphon down into the filter cannister, when its full it will start to come out of the outlet. Then put the outlet into the tank and switch the filter on, there should be a bit of noise from air escaping the filter then it should go quiet.

I don't know the filter so that's as in-depth as i can go, it may have a priming button. I know nothing about the media either.
