I bought a second hand tank at the weekend, came with an Aqua Pro 1 external canister filter. The inlet tap is broken and I need a new one, would also like to get some new hoses and other bits.

Any ideas where I can get them from, or what parts might fit it? It looks similar to an Eheim filter - would these work?

I haven't managed to find much info about them on the internet, took me ages to work out how to prime it.

I'd be grateful for any help!

thanks for reply.

I had already looked on ebay, google, spent all afternoon looking! I didn't seem to have much luck, I can only find spare media on ebay and this is the only place I can find the taps but they're out of stock.

The manufacturer, Superfish, doesn't appear to have a website :/

If you have found something could I trouble you for a link please? I wouldn't have asked on here without looking thoroughly first! ;)

ETA: Anyone know if any other manufacturer's parts will fit this filter, that are easier to find? As mentioned above, it looks very similar to an Eheim filter, would they fit?

I didn't find anything except for e-bay and I didn't know who the manufacturer was to know about a site; I typed in Aqua Pro 1 and it didn't bring anything up.

I can't help about other manufacturers, sorry.

You may have done this already but apologies if you have; have you asked at a local shop to see if they can advise on parts to get or even where to get them from? Sometimes they can be useful.

I asked at our local maidenhead aquatics, they don't keep it in stock, and directed me to the website, which doesn't have anything there either!

Next time I'm in I'll ask if they can advise on other manufacturer's instead...

Oh well, the filter doesn't seem to be leaking on a constant basis, only when I turn the tap off!

Thanks so much for your help! :good:

Hope I'm not barking up the wrong tree here but I thought I heard something about Aqua not making the filters now so people are unable to get spare parts , If I'm wrong (which I hope I am) then I apologise in advance..........

If that is the case I wouldn't be surprised considering how difficult it has been to find anything to do with them at all! Thanks for letting me know, I just need to see if I can find some alternatives.
