Hi everyone!

I need some advice. One year ago I purchased a Aqua One 980 and until a couple of months ago, I was really pleased with it. However, as we head into summer, I have encountered a problem with the design of the tank.

Since summer is on it's way here in NZ, and as the weather warms up, I am having huge problems with condensation building up around the tank lid which in turn drips down the tank and onto the floor - which means I'm forever mopping up the floor!

To add to this, the water has actually damaged the cabinet that the tank sits on, and although Aqua One have offered to replace the cabinet, I will still have an issue with condensation in summer - something that I just cannot be bothered dealing with.

So, I've started researching the idea of purchasing another tank - and I've stumbled across the Juwel Rio 300 aquarium.

The question is - how is the build quality on the Juwel 300 versus the Aqua One I currently have? I would rather pay a little more and get something that will last me a few years rather than a tank that will let me down, as I feel has happened with the Aqua One.

If anyone else has the Aqua One 980 and also has condensation problems please let me know, I'd like to talk to you about anything you have done to fix the issue?

Thank you in advance
Matt

Which filter system is poor and why?

More information would be great for the OP.

jewel tanks usually have a built in filter system and they are generally rubbish tbh, they can be removed and replaced with an external canister
