Aqua One 750 Not Working Properly

ive just bought a new aqua one 750 filer for my 4ft tank and its been up and running a few hours but after the first 20 minutes it kinda packed in a had to push the big button on the top to get it going again ever since it sounds like it keeps getting a blast of air inside and it slows the flow down whats wrong with it is it filterning my tank like its supposed to be its just replaced a aquaone 103 as that one was to small im worried ive just paid out for a crap filter

also i am adding a photo of two of my fish i dont have a breed for them hopefully someone might be able to tell me what breed they are

sometimes my eheim gets air trapped inside after maintenance and its solved by giving it a tilt to the side, you can hear the trapped air escaping. i also have a 750 advance aquaone when priming the filter press the button on top and leave it for a few minutes until its completely full before starting it up. it will still be filtering but at a slower rate so you wont be getting the full benefit of it and a decreased water flow in the tank. try gently rocking it gently side to side to release trapped air
