Ive just bought a 620 tank 90lt.Its a nice tank good quality but i find the pump noisy.
Is anyone using an external or even internal filter that would be quieter ?
I think the best solution would be external and use the existing filter setup has anyone done this ?

I too bought an AR620 and the motor was too noisy. Strangely it was O.K. if I tested it in a separate bucket of water.

I tried everything I could to find the cause (the filter enclosure seems to act as a sound box!) but in the end I got a replacement pump under warranty and that was much quieter. In the same tank I have a Fluval 2+ and that makes no noticeable noise.

I recently purchased a Fluval U2 for another tank and I'm quite impressed by it so if you want to use an internal in the 620 them I think a U3 would be good.

Mine produces no noise at all! I used to run a Fluval 4+ in the tank too, but it's a faily sizeable filter so removed it. Unsure how you would run an external filter on the 620... where would you put the inlet and outlet pipes?

I was thinking of connecting the hoses from the external to the existing pipework.Bit of diy involved but doable.
Might just go with an internal tho as an easier option.Eheim Aquaball 130 looks ok.
