What is your opinion? Im thinking of ditching the sump tank idea and new tank. And just going for a Aqua Medic tank. The problem is the filter skimmer etc is in the tank. Is this a bad thing, ie for water changes etc. I want to keep inverts and worry i want be able to add to my system. I would be greatful for any info and thought on people who own an aqua - medis tank

Everyone I know that owns an aquamedic tank has ripped out most of the equipment that it comes with and replaced it with otherstuff, so in a word no, i wouldnt buy one myself. I would either go all out and get a deltec system, or simply build it myself. You can make your own tank with a built in filter at the back. You can use acrylic cut to spec to make a filter housing at the back, cut your own surface skimming grid and outlets for pump and you would be away...
