Im not sure if im being silly, but is there such thing as a bad salt? im looking for the cheapest availible, and currently its aquamedia salt, 25kg for £50 delivered. as im not having corals, does it matter, will this be ok?

thanks

ps.. if all goes well, of course i will look into the reef, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it. :shifty:

i dont know prices of others, but i know you can get a bucket of Deltec H20 reef grade salt for £49.98 delivered!

If you start by using a fish only salt, when the time comes to add some corals you will have a lot of testing, water changing and buffering to do!

Whats this tank going to be like then :p

ok, i think i will buy a bucket of a smaller quantity and therefore a smaller price..
thanks for your help

erm...you forgot something! the most important bit too...

whats the tank like????

its not turning full marine until about 8months from now.. its a 125litre tank for a green spotted puffer, taking him through brackish into marine as he gets older, but when reaching marine i will get a few fish like damsels, maybe clownfish(as it is said he can tollerate them) and i might, might :shifty: get live rock, put a protein skimmer on there, upgrade lighting, and get some corals. :good:
