i have a live rock what had one aiptesia on it. i killed it with joes juice but mustnt have done a very gud job as there are abot 7 others. now should i remove the rock out of the tank but frag the mushrooms of or leav the rock in. i personaly think i should remove it and frag the green and purple mushrooms
thanks

Ya, with such a heavy infestation, you prob wanna remove the rock to a spare tank/large bucket and create decent conditions (heat, flow rate) so the aiptasia re-immerges (cause they will most def suck into the rock when you move it) and try to get them all in there. Maybe I'm going about this way to difficult and mayeb you should just take the rock out and starve it of fresh water for awhile, this will kill your bacteria and whatever else is in the rock but I would hope kill the aiptasia too

I don't know if your willing to go this route but a Copperband butterfly will eliminate them immediately! that's what I had to do.

no no i would never put a copper band in natter how beautiful they are. you see the big problem is that my tank is a 6 gal lol. i have take the rock out and fragged the mushrooms and placed them on some rubble rock and they have already started opening up nicely. wold a 6 line wrasse be ok in my tank or is that pushing it
thanks for your quick replies

ok il probs just get a coral. do tube anemones need high intensity light or could they tolerate small amounts. my devils hand coral is doing fine. also if i cant get a tube anemone what sort of coral could i get
thanks everyone for your replies

Tube nems are non-photosynthetic, they dont need light ;). They do need periodic direct feedings of shrimp, brine, mysis, etc. They're aggressive towards other corals though, so dont put them within reach of something you want to keep ;)

i may get a tube anemone but should i get my siringe and derfost some brine suck it up and direct feed it is that how you do it. can anyone give me any ideas
thanks
