Fish Fanatic
I have a heavily planted, very mature 50 gallon tank, to which have just added 5 Apple snails. The water is on the soft side of neutral. I also have fish and about a 100 shrimps (I think) in there too.
I tried this a few years ago and they all died within a few months. I was adding Snailstrong daily but it didn't seem to make a difference. This time I have added cuttlefish bone to my filter as well as using Snailstrong.
My questions are - will they need feeding in a heavily planted tank? If so, how do you keep cucumber ect from floating off?
Is there anything else I can do to protect their shells? How long will half a cuttlefish bone last in my external filter before it needs replacing?
Oh - the Snailshop seems to be closed - where do you guys get your Snailstrong from? Assuming that is a good product that I should be using?
Thanks
