Apple Snails

hi everyone,
i was just wondering how my apple snail would get on after escaping i found him behind my bedroom door about 2 metres away from the tank i dony know how long he was out the water for but i quickly put him back in he sank then opened up very slowly needs a bit og encouraging to get up the right way and if on back will stay like that for hours still hes alive and eating do u thnik he will be alright any advice would be grateful thank you .

he sounds like he is going to be all right but my advice would to seal any holes in your aquarism or put a hood over it, if you don't have one. also try not to pook him it will reduce his stress for now. i would say he properly went out of the tank to lay eggs or to explore. mine leave the water and search around for suitable places to lay eggs as they lay above water level.

but he may of left because of the fish, by the way how big is your tank? e.g litres and what kind of fish do you have? so for example if you got fish what bullys it or more likely to leave to a more suitable pond but in this case aquarism
