apple snails

I finally gave in a bought an apple snail.

Strange things aren't they?

Put some sinking food pellets in for the loaches and the snail just kind of glided over and jumped on top of it!

They are cool creatures, try putting a bit of flake on top of the water (don't know what other fish you have they may eat it first ) But the snail may venture up to the top and you will see it literally suck the flake towards it before engulfing it and eating it

ahhh, yes william have seen mine do this, mine have realy grown, there
quite big now oh william how long do they live, hope its a while, i've become realy endeared th my 3, and my son loves them, he he he's gone to school saying to peeps oooo we've got big yellow snails in our house,
sjould see some peeps faces lol well until i quickly explain there water snails in a tank lol

Hehe, they live quite a while I believe, I've had mine well over a year, at a guess I would say 3 years? Its just a guess though the best place for information is http/www.applesnail.net I'm sure you'll find it there somewhere!!
