Apple Snails...whats The Thing From It?

i know this may be weird but i have no idea...my apple snail has just had a very long penis looking thing appear from under its shell bout an inch long is this what it is?

Was it its siphon?

If so this what the snail uses to breathe under water.

Yeh the siphon comes out on the left side of the snail, penis the right side. It's pretty cool eh?
