I need to treat my tank with Myxazin, will my Apple snails be ok indoors in a bucket of water (With a cover on).

Cheers Jeff.

how long is the treatment?

Apples are very messy you will need to filter the water if any more then a day, temp wise as long as you keep the heating on in the house they will be ok at room temp for a few days but not long term :good:

Thank you for your reply, I have six snails, the sizes (shells) are between one and two inches, the treatment is recommended for five days, I'll then have to carry out substantial water changes before they can be returned.

I can aerate the water for them, but will have to settle for water changes rather than filtration, I will of course treat the water with " tap safe".

Cheers Jeff.

If your doing 50% water changes in the bucket and the room temp is 18c+ and you can aerate their water i would say they should be ok just dont feed them while they are in the bucket, and on the day they going back into the tank give them a treat like a algae wafer :good:

Thanks for your help Bruiser, will do as you say.

Cheers Jeff.
