Apple Snails N Sand

my daughter wants an apple snail for her tank, she has sand is this ok?

Apple snails should be ok with sand. My snail tank has sand and the only problem I have had is with the giant ones that struggle to grip it to turn themselves over if they fall awkwardly. I have never found any problems with babies or brigs in sand.

Apple snails are fine with sand as its a natural substrate for them just like probably at least 90% of the rest of aquarium kept aquatic creatures. I had an apple snail that loved burrowing in it all the time (like trumpet snails) though he was the only apple snail I've seen do that.
