hi all
got up this morning and did the usual head count in my tank, noticed two apple snails missing and i thought they will be around somewhere and will come out when i give them the cucumber later.
dinner time comes and still no sign of the snails, now im a little worried so i take out the stones and whatnots in the tank to look for them still nothing :/
i decided to lift the lid and look around the light under the condensation tray but still nothing, now i start to panic where could they be, then i remember what i have read about them crawling out of the tank so i looked all around the back and there they were on the floor
i know they can live out of the water for a while so i popped them back in the tank and they were eating within 2 mins. no halm done :good:
BUT now they want to keep climbing out, there spending as much time out the water as they are in it, but they keep heading for the same hole the one to the floor, i dont understand why ! and they also have a friend in tow my purple apple , i caught it earlier just before it toppled over the top.

there coming out where the external filter pipes come in, i have now crafted some poly strips to block up as much as i can i just hope it holds them.
i love my apples i would hate to lose them

They can survive up to a week out of water with their shells closed, but it isn't good for them. If you've blocked up the hole, then they will eventually stop trying to get out. :)

I love mine too, they're such cute little things.
