After doing several searches in google for eggs of all of my fish I finally matched the eggs in my tank to that of the Apple Snail. Or at least im as sure as i can be.
My Apple Snail is in there on his own so I was just wondering if they Asexually reproduce? That may sound like a stupid question but ive never really looked into the breeding habits of apple snails.
Any info or advice is much appreciated :)

Cheers

Sadly apple snails are male and female and must reproduce sexually.
You most likely have a female who is just laying eggs.

Where are the eggs?

Apple snails usually lay thier eggs out of water.

They're on the bottom, half sort of jammed under a rock. Cossie I dont think I'll be raising them, sorry.
Is there any way of sexing snails at all? Or is that too hopeful? Lol.

sexing them is pretty easy, just take them out of the water wait for them to come out of their shell then look for the ahem correct parts.
the eggs should be relatively easy to remove.

no they arent applesnail eggs, they lay them near the lights on the hood out of water, the young need to breathe or they drown, are they in a clutch, usually pinkish, sometimes they fall off the hood into the tank.

Yeah they are in a cluster and sort of light creamy pinkish. I just found them on the bottom of the tank.

Have a look at applesnail.net link for lots of info on apple snails. I've just found about 100ish apple snail eggs. They could be a cross between blue and yellow apple snails. Anyone know how long they take to hatch?

Hiya's,
I have 2 yellow apple snails (both female i assume (read on)

And a lone brown/lighter brown striped apple snail (male)

Wednesday i cleaned some uneaten blood worm and as i lowered the lid there was a yellow apple snail laying eggs on the hood lol

My first snail eggs :)

Shortly after she laid the eggs she tried to slip down back into the tank but ended up bombing into it and drifting to the bottom, whereas speedy as we call him the male snail he just looks like a surfer whenever he drops off anything, he really does glide gracefully and always lands perfectly

Funny thing last week, he slid off a now removed filter, started to glide as usual, was caught in a very slow vortex/eddie and was doing a small circular hovering motion for around 25 secs lmao, so funny to watch

The site someone linked has been great for me finding howto watch and care for the l'il critters when the time comes

You can move the clutch, but i guess you'd have to move them out of water the moment they ended up in it to at least save some, finding them in water will probably mean they would all be drowned :(
