Hi,

I've got two of these bulb plants in one of my tanks - they've grown fantastically, lovely canopy across the tank, and this week started to flower, 2 white long spikes (which surprised me as I didn't know that they did - newbie to plants - only found out their proper name 2 days ago  ).

I've just read somewhere on the internet that the flowers are poisonous and should be cut back - can anyone confirm this please, don't want any damage done to tank or fish.

Thanks
Kim :good:

Blimey, erm, I dont know. I wouldnt expect them to be poisonous but if in doubt then cut them back until you know for sure that theyre safe.
Sorry i couldnt help more than that.

I've kept them in my discus tank for years and the fish have suffered no ill effects

i've also had aponogeton (undulatus) flowering regularly a few years ago. don't think it's anything to worry about
