sorry about the oscar. In a few months im gonna buy a 55 gallon and get 1, IF THATS OKAY WITH THE REST OF YOU!!!! Im thinking about a gold severum or breeding convicts.

A 55g is better but it still won't hold an Oscar for life. You need 75g bare minimum and preferable 90-100g. The Severum and Convicts would be ok though.

If you are dead set on getting an oscar and want to provide it with the best life possible, go purchase a 125 gal tank. These are a common size and won't set you back too much money. Otherwise, look in the classifieds of your local paper for a large tank (at least 100 gal). This is the cheapest way to get new tanks. At that point you will be able to keep 2 and a severum or 2. I'm not a big fan of convicts and since they breed profusely, be prepared to have all out war in the tank. They defend their young until the death.
