Anyone Running A Tt Ex2400

Anyone using the TT ex2400? Wondered how good they are, I have an ex1200 which is great and runs silent, however, reviews Ive found the net for the ex2400 arent so good, apparently they run like a freight train, extremely noisy.

Would like to hear thats not the case, as I want one to run on my 5ft tank but its in the lounge and I cant deal with noise, FX5 wont fit in my cabinet and the eheim 2080 is seriously expensive.

I've no experience of the ex2400 but on a 5ft I'd be tempted to run 2x ex1200 - 1 at each end.

Havent the space to run two, I need one powerful enough to cope and that will fit!

havnt got one personally, but just wanted to add that i saw in a pfk article this month that it says its noisy... but its good news for the ex1200 then if you say its quiet, i hope to be getting that soon

Jeremy Gay did a review in the latest (June) issue of pfk. He said it was noisy and consumed 60w of electricity, but other than that was a great filter.

Oh well thats that idea out then, guess I keep saving for the eheim.

FX5 is three cms too wide for my cabinet Nick, I was going to get one, then measured up and no way it will fit
