Anyone Removed And Replaced A Juwel Rio Top Trim?

Hi everyone. Have just been given a Juwel rio 400. There are quite a few scuffs and scratches on the front glass. Rather than trying to polish them out can the top trim be removed the tank turned round and then replaced making the back good glass the front glass. Has anyone ever tried this?
