Anyone Know If This Is Normal Mandarin Behavior?

my mandarin has been doing very well for the past 8 months in my tank from the biocube to my 40 breeder i have loads of copepods and amphipods hes fat everday to the point he looks like he may explode. but just recently he has been sitting in the corner of the tank not doing anything just sitting there. sometimes ill see him on a rock just sitting there. is he sick or just going through a phase?

The ones i have seen, never owned them. Sort of acted like blennies. Picked at the rocks and chilled out. He may not be hungry?

i woke up this morning and he was dead laying next to my hammer coral. im very dissapointed he was doing so well fat and died. he was easily my favorite fish in the tank.
