ACK, sorry

I have heard fish can carry TB. Has anyone else heard of this? Know anyone who has ever been infected from fish?

Don't worry I am not freaking out about this, just curious. No I do not think anyone else needs to worry either.

I guess I need to scrounge up the refference to let you all know where I read it

I havn't heard that but I read in some magazine that people that changed water in their aquariums without gloves developed sores on their hands/arms. Has this happened to anyone, I've never had any problems.

I read that it's impossible. Fish tb is utterly different from what humans can get.

However, there's a chance of getting salmonella if you handle fish or reptiles.

To me, it sounds like something that was made up. I mean, I think eating fish (not the ones from your tank) would be more likley to cause it than from cleaning your tank.

Here is a link with a little info, not much though

Basically, it says not to stick open wounds into tank water or to drink tank water  . That makes sense to me, but you can get the same infection from beach water I would imagine. Infact, that water is probably worse. Just wash your hands, I think you will be fine
