Just wondering if anyone here use the Fluval 07 series (207, 307, 407) filter, I'm interested in the media basket filter setup.
I have the 307 so it comes with 3 media baskets. Initially I was running stock media so thick black bio foam + polishing pad at the bottom, bio-noodles middle and carbon + polishing pad on top.
I've since removed the carbon filter and only using the polishing pad on top.
Fluval 07 series flows from bottom up with x4 sponge pre-filters on the side.
Don't really want to run carbon long term as I've found it sometimes can leak into the tank causing surface film. Thinking of either more bio noodles on top or pads (Ammonia, Nitrite etc). It would be interesting to know if there are any options to control Nitrate.
