Don’t get much bigger and only seem to live about Year, had them in guppy tank!

It’s technically “calcium deprivation”, but I don’t see how that’s possible, because my pH is pretty much perfect.

I personally think that over time, when the snail gets older, it’s shell needs to grow. Sometimes it takes a while to cover up the new “growth crack”, and that’s why you see that lighter colored stuff in the crack. That’s the substance right below the actual shell.

Ohhhhhhh ok I see it now. It looked like it was mirrored, but the things around it didn’t. I was SO confused

It's not because how would that be possible? My oldest nerite has a large "crack" and I have the top 5 hardest water in the UK (I won't tell you which number).
Not calcium deprivation, old age(I believe).
