I just did another shuffle, and found that I have some extra space/tanks. If anyone has a few they need to find homes for let me know. Mixed colors and tails are fine. I figured I asked if there were any that needed good homes, before I go to Aquabid, and buy some.

Try the buy, sell, and swap section and see if anyone has one or you can PM synirr or any other breeders on here to see if maybe they have a reject that maybe has fin defect or missing an eye or something that their willing to give away or you can see if they can give you a good deal on their fish that they can't seem to sell.

Durbkat, That was mean-spirited.
If you don't have any positive ideas, don't post anything please.
That would be the right thing to do.

What the heck are you talking about  I was simply suggesting some things he could do to get a better response. So Chill out :S

IF that is true then I apologize...it seemed as though you were saying they'd only give up defective fish, when I know the gals on here have been very generous to everyone.

I accept your appolige and no offense taken. Also if its true that the breeders would give bettas away for free or to adopt then why when I asked snirr if I could have one that was defective or was willing to give up she said no?

well last I saw synirrs post she only had a few left that were VERY special needs...as in constant watching, medicating and she did say she needs certain qualified people who understand their defects and can keep them under control so they can live happy and longer lives...that may be why she said no...

Well I asked her this when she said she only had plakats and didn't breed the long finned variety and she still said no.

uhm...I dont believe that I mentioned anything about longfinned...she only has plakats and only bred plakats...I said that they have special needs such as swimbladder disorder and things of that sort that require constant work and watching....

I think that Synirr as well as most of the betta breeders on this forum will only give or sell their 'babies' to people who they trust will take care of and look after them properly, they didnt spend time effort and money to have them die because someone put it through cycling or didnt know anything about them so they couldnt care for them properly:thumbs:
There is alot of unwanted and deformed bettas in walmart if you are in the US and in most pet shops in the UK

I also never said she had long finned bettas. So how do you get a person to trust you when they live far away and can't make friends with them unless you can see them in person and she wouldn't know how I take care of my bettas (which I do very well) so like I said she still said no.

Well the first thing I quoted put me under the impression that you were talking about long finned?

And really the point is...your right she cant tell if you really do take care of your bettas correctly or not (I am not doubting you) So she can only judge by what you display (Sorry synirr for this I really dont know if this is what you feel...I apologize) on the forums...Either way if she said yes or no...there are PLENTY of other breeders on this forum and you should be respecting her desicion one way or the other....Shes the mom and she chooses who she wants to have her fish end of story. I am sure that she had no intention of offending you I assure you...

Well she didn't offend me and it doesn't matter now because I have plenty of bettas now. :)

Um.... for the record, I told you I don't have any left, Durbkat, because I really don't *lol*! You asked a couple of days too late. The ones I have right now are ones I'm holding on to at least until after the show this weekend. I do have two males with what seems to be chronic swimbladder disorder (it fluctuates... they're never perfect, but better some days than others), and a female who is blind in one eye, but that's about it. I'm gonna try to sell some of the better ones, but I will eventually be adopting out the special needs babies when I'm confident they're strong enough, along with a couple that aren't breeding quality due to jumbled scales that I've been hanging on to just because I like them :). I was thinking of keeping those myself, but I have too many as it is, hehe!
