hi, mine broke last night, well it still works but makes a hell of a noise!!! im sure i have heard reports of other having the same problems but im not 100%. however my little rena which is my backup keeps on going and does not make a sound!!

mine was a 150, they are fine for a month or 2 then make a noise. i have heard all their products are noisy!

All my tanks run off these, never had a problem with them and mine are super quiet, got 2 in my bedroom and dont hear a thing off them.

Cant u just take it back? they will replace it.

will take it back in the next week. one minute it was fine the next really noisy! and it wont stop! so i tured the airpump off over night

Have you took it apart to see? they are very simple little things and you will probably find the arm is hitting the main magnet.

Just straighten it back up

will that not mean that i cannot get my money back?

I took pumps apart loads of times and still took them back lol, just dont tell them.. tetratecs are easy cos there only possy drive screws and nobody can tell you have taken them out.

It could be something as easy as replacing the diaphragm...

ive got a tetratec airpump and its grand, just take yours back and get a replacement.

i took 5teadys advice and it worked. cheers mate. :good:

my tetratec cannister filter broke, and they were out of parts so i had to go for 8 months without a tank beacuse they couldnt ship the parts from their headquarters in germany. so if u can get hold of replacement parts i would do it. in the end my lfs ordered some in from a supplier who luckily had 2 of them lying around
