her stomache is too big where she popped a little blood vessel, then there was a tear in the silver lining of her stomach where I could see red, and now there's a clearish red drop of what looks like a clotting liquid over the spot. I put in melafix and allready use salt. Please help!

Wow! She was really busy with the men eh? Wow! I've never really had this happen before. I'm not really into live bearers...but i'll try to help with what i know. I would isolate her in her own tank or fry trap...that way none of the other fish can harass her or reopen the wound with their nibbling or pestering. I would say catch her and put some hydrogen peroxide on it and the put a little super glue on it but i don't know if that would be the best thing to do. I did that when my oscar split his head open on a rock. He wasn't very happy at the time but he healed up great! Problem is the size difference... ...osars a bit larger than a guppy. Thats my $0.03 worth...hehe...i'll let cha know if i think of anything new!

I don't know either. I don't know if she'll even be able to recover, or have the babies. I'm thinking about taking them out. I know what you're thinking but I think she must be in pain with her stomach popping open and I don't want her to die with all the babies in the middle of the night. The babies have got to be ready. Would they live? Any opinions are welcome.

Well, how are ya gonna get the babies out with out killer her OR the babies? Member they are small fishes and they ARE delicate! Giving her exlax won't help either! lol...squeezing her would probably kill her, cutting her open would kill her definately and possibly the babies. I would just wait it out man!

If you saw her you would think she would be floating at top, but still swimming in controll. I mean, I honestly think she's going to die either way so I would be talking about a surgery.

 ouch, i cant really help but i hope she pulls through for ya

Thats sad.... Are you sure its pregnancy and not some kind of infection? Hope she gets well soon.

she died. When she started actting bad, I did surgery to no avail. The babies were alive but under developed. The mom was about to die so I had to try but it didn't work out. They couldn't swim good and my correy cats had a new treat, but I was up late with the whole thing and it bummed me out. Now, I just have 3 females, 3 males, 2 correys, and 10fry just over a month, but they're developing well. Its probably for the best. Not buying any more right now. I'm just going to continue with what I got.
