Afternoon,

I've purchased a Fluval 305 to fit on a Fluval 125L. I've been told by Seapets that that all Fluval aquariums are desinged to be used with Fluval externals and I simply need to 'remove the two sections at the back' so that I can fit the inlet/outlet and still be able to close the aquarium cover.

I've had a look at the rear of the 'lid' and I belive that I've located the two sections that need to be removed. However, these are still molded to the reast of the top surround of the aquarium, and appear to need sawing to remove them. They do have thinner parts of joining plastic between themseves and the rest of the surround so it looks like a bit of DIY is required.

Anyone else done this?
Is this the correct process?
Am I blind and have I missed two sections that can easily be lifted out without cutting?

Ive fitted an tetratec ex1200 to my roma125(its too big to get in and out of the cabinet btw)

I cut/broke out the scored square section on the rear left of my tank, easily done, no problems there, and then you're good to go. :good:

Yes just remove the thin plastic sections on either side. I just cut mine off with a stanley knife. They come off easily.

excellent, thanks for the reponses......just wanted to make sure I wasn't hacking at it without reason!
