Anyone else have a fish that does this?

I moved Scorch last night from his glass bowl into Skinny's 1 gallon tank. I went to check on him before bed, and he was completely lifeless and sinking towards the bottom. I had tears running down my face as I just stared at him. I couldn't believe he could be dead. About 10 seconds later he sprung to life and swam up to the top for a breath of air. Then he stayed on the top and in no time his little body was lifeless again. No movement, not a fin or his gills or anything. The only thing I noticed was that his eyes would move a bit. I was thinking that maybe he's a really deep sleeper? I just can't imagine anything else. Any ideas?

My 2 wm fish do that. as amatter of fact i was just wastching one do it! they also swim around really fast at the bottom and push marbles around and make a hole, put their nose in and go to sleep it is the strangest thing i have ever seen!

That used to be Fysh's favourite game- I called it 'let's give Mummy a heart attack'. He'd actually curve himself into a limp little sickle-shape and spiral slowly downward. He'd usually come to rest on the tip of his nose or his tail, and then he'd just sorta settle. I think once he stayed like that for almost half an hour. Whenever I got up to check on him, though, he'd shoot to the surface and wiggle all over. I tell you, that boy . . . He caused me more headaches than all the rest of them combined!

Well, he's still doing it He's not looking so great either, but it's nothing I can pinpoint. He doesn't have finrot or anything, no parasites, and I just popped a few pellets in his tank and he's not interested.

Narcoleptic fish? I don't have any bettas, but if any of my fish did that I would start to think sleep disorder!

Scorch just passed away. I don't know what happened. He didn't show any signs except what I originally posted about. <sighs> He was so pretty, my favorite one that yeeviabetta sent to me.
