Not heard of them being bred. There seems to be quite a bit of confusion over their true classification.
At the moment, I still call them Barbus as that is what I've always called them, but the lack of breeding and a few other issues makes me doubt that. As a Barbus species from a familiar environment, they should not be difficult to breed.
I have also seen them classified as Epalzeorhyncus denisonii, and Crossocheilus denisonii which would make more sense.
