anybody know how to sex aballon molly?

How do you sex a balloon molly? (sorry about the title, I don't seem to be able to edit it.)

and are they live bearing?

all mollies are livebearers. You would sex a balloon molly the way you would sex any other molly, by whether it has a gonopodium (a pointed anal fin used in mating) or not. Males do and females don't. Hope this helps!

Balloon mollies are just a specific type of molly so the sexing is the same as most livebearers. The males have a gonopodium and the females have a normal fan shaped anal fin.

I know that many people say that balloon mollies are just like every other livebearer, but to me it seems that their anal fins are shaped a bit differently (which leads to discrepency when trying to sex them). Both the female and male anal fins tend to look somewhat rod-like, but the female's fins seem to spread out slightly more than the male's (this is what i've gathered from my two). The male's anal fin is obviously more cylinder-like. You have to look closely to tell the difference.
