Anybody Here Have Parrots?

I was just wondering how many people out here have parrot cichlids! I love mine! They spawned for the first time this week. Unfortunately, I had a tank catastrophe and they let their guard down on the eggs. I think my plecostamus got them. Does anyone else have a male/female pair?

Blood Parrots are actually a hybrid, so thats the section where you'll find many other keepers,

But being a hybrid what you may be interested in knowing is that although they will pair up and physically lay eggs, the eggs will (in the vast majority of cases) be infertile, and so nothing more will come of them

i keep parrots too =] I have one male and 2 female.. Yes they are a hybrid.. They normally cross bred with a green severum and something else.. Cant remember the other one tho lol!

personally i cant stand the hybrid parrots but the other natural parrot cichlids is a stunner as ther pics above show i mean who would want a hybrid fish that cant even close its mouth they just a lame excuse of a cichlid IMO
