So I love collecting sharks teeth, or any fossil for that matter... I have a very nice collection... But I have one, and only one tooth/fossil that I have never known what it is from... When I was at the dig site there were two men there that were friends and they were VERY knowledgeable on fossils... They had been doing it for a long time together... I showed it to them and they had no idea what it was, they daid they had never seen anything like it before... I almost thought it was a dolphin tooth but its not as skinny and its not curved... One of the guys almost thought it was a dolphing rib, but it doesnt curve and it comes down to a point... Now for the people that dont know this, the blacker a fossil is, the older it is... This fossil (pictured below) is jet black, meaning, it is VERY old... Please help me solve this mystery! Oh, and one more thing... I did a search on Google, and there is nothing even close to this... I even tried an image search, and nothing... Here it is:
