Any tips on breeding bolivian blue ram cichlids?

I have kept them in 25C (77F) before, and it did absolutely great! I had no issues with it!
I'm really sorry to rain on your parade, especially on your birthday but that is kinda cruel to the fish... :/

If you get more fish I would get ones to fix some of the stocking issues you currently have

Definitely agree with the others, a GBR is not suited for the tank. You have some issues with your stocking as it is. The ram won't like the water as it is too cold, and some of your other fish won't like the warm water that the ram needs. I wouldn't even recommend a Bolivian ram, which would do best at the temperature you have rather than the warmer water the GBR needs, with your stock.

Also onto your question. If you want to breed them, don't keep them with any of those fish at all. Keep them in their own tank, that is set up to meet their temperature needs. Breeding rams in a community tank is not going to work.

I am afraid other members are quite correct here (afraid because of your situation, not for the other members' sound advice).

Mikrogeophagus ramirezi is the common or blue ram, in any of several varieties selectively bred, and it must have warmth. A temp of 80F/27C is absolute minimum, but the fish will be better a couple degrees higher. None of the other fish mentioned can manage in this.

You mentioned that you had this species previously in cooler water...but I can guarantee it did not live to its normal lifespan. Fish are ectothermic, so the temperature of the water governs their metabolism and inner physiological functions. Fish requiring warmer water have evolved over thousands of years and it is mandatory for their normal health and lifespan functions.

The other fish in your tank have serious issues with insufficient numbers for the shoaling species, and then there is the space issue. I'm sure several of our members would be willing to sort this out if asked.
